Johan is a young professional hunter with experience well beyond his years. Starting off as most do, he cut his teeth on the plains game of South Africa. Not any longer.Johan created Rigby Big Game Safaris and caters exclusively to the big game hunter. The hunting concession is located in South Africa in the Greater Kruger Ecosystem (Kruger National Park). Specifically it is known as the Letaba Ranch area, just north of Phalaborwa. Up until a few years ago the border fence of KNP was situated on Letaba’s eastern boundary. It was then moved to the ranch’s western boundary, which means you’ll be hunting the tremendous gene pools of KNP for buffalo, elephant and hippo. You’ll be hunting elephant in the 50-70 pound class and the buffalo will be hard-bossed monsters of 40 inches or better.This land is called "community" land, or communal lands. It belongs to the people who live here, and Johann is lucky enough to have secured the hunting rights from them. Johan employs his staff from the local community and each animal taken helps in the social upliftment of the people. Working in conjunction with the National Parks Board and Kruger Park Rangers, a strict quota is allocated each hunting season for the various species.
